The proposed Project will be run-of-the-river scheme involving two separate powerhouses with total installed capacity of approximately 14MW. The upper scheme feeds Bintang Powerhouse (6.4MW), fed by an intake on Sg. Bintang and a second intake on Sg Kerian via two separate penstock pipelines. The lower scheme comprises Kerian Powerhouse (7.6MW), which is fed by the tailrace flow from Bintang Powerhouse.
